“You are invited to join our small group for touring of Cape Town, Cape Winelands plus enjoy big game viewing at Kambaku River Sands Lodge located in the World famous Timbatavi Private Game Reserve”

NB: Aside from these scheduled and escorted dates, individual arrangements can be made at any time.

DAY 1: Departure from Charlotte, NC or other U.S. City.

DAY 2: Evening arrival Cape Town, South Africa. Meet driver for transfer to the Portswood Hotel. Evening of rest and relaxation. The Portswood Hotel is located within Victoria & Alfred Waterfront area.

DAY 3: Meet tour guide in hotel lobby at 8:30 a.m. for a full day of touring. We begin with a scenic drive, passing through the cosmopolitan suburb of Sea Point and Camps Bay with its glorious views of the Twelve Apostles. From here we will travel to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve where you will see a variety of wildlife.  Following the coastline along False Bay, return to Cape Town by way of Simon’s Town– visiting Seal Point, Fishhoek Village and Muizenberg Mountains. Before returning to the Portswood Hotel, we will have a chance to visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens for a short walking tour.

DAY 4: Today we begin with a tour of Cape Town, seeing famous landmarks including: Castle of Good Hope; City Hall; and the Grand Parade. We will follow the city’s main thoroughfare, Adderly Street, to see St. George’s Cathedral, the Anglican Diocese of Nobel Peace Laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu. We continue past Company Gardens and the Malay Quarter. We will also visit Signal Mountain and Table Bay for a view of the city and then onwards to Milnerton Lighthouse. Later in the day arrive in Cape Winelands. Overnight at Oude Werf Hotel with breakfast provided.

DAY 5: We meet our guide for a full day of touring in Cape Winelands. We will visit the picturesque villages of Paarl, Franschhoek, and Stellenbosch. Experience wine tasting at its best with visits to 2 wineries and 1 wine cellar. We will also tour historic Stellenbosch, where the University of Stellenbosch is located. Overnight at Oude Werf Hotel with breakfast provided.

DAYS 6-9 : Following an early morning breakfast and check out, we transfer to Cape Town International Airport for our flight to Hoedspruit. There, we meet our driver for road transfer to Kambaku River Sands Lodge. We arrive just in time to enjoy a late afternoon game drive where we will have an unparalleled opportunity to experience the “Big Five” (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard and Cape buffalo). The Kambaku River Sands Lodge will be your home for the next four evenings and all meals and game viewing activities are included!

DAY 10: Following an early morning game drive and check-out, we meet our driver for road transfer to Hoedspruit International airport for your afternoon flight to Johannesburg with continuing connections to USA.

DAY 11: Early morning arrival in the USA. End of Journey – Welcome home!

LAND COST: $2,968.00 per person, based on double or twin occupancy. Costs based on 15 participants. Single supplement $988.00. Includes all items as stipulated within itinerary, unless otherwise noted. Subject to change.

OPTIONAL EXTENSION: Pre or post trip to Zimbabwe (Victoria Falls), Chobe National Park, Botswana (4 nights) estimated costs $1,897.00 per person. Subject to change.

DEPOSITS: 25% per person of ground costs to confirm touring, hotels, lodges. Final payment due 120 days prior to departure.
CANCELLATIONS: Once booked, should cancellation occur, a $300.00 per person handling fee shall apply.

REFUNDS:

•  90 days prior to departure, a $300.00 per person handling fee will apply. All other deposits are refundable 90 days prior to departure.
• 89-61 days prior to departure, 50% per person of tour costs will be forfeited, along with any levies or penalties imposed by ground operators or airlines.
• 60 days or less prior to departure, 100% of tour price is forfeited.

• Trip cancellation/ interruption insurance
• Items of a personal nature
• Telephone charges
• Alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages
• Malaria medications and inoculations
• Baggage fees incurred by the airline/hotel
• Gratuities for rangers, drivers, hotel/resort staff
